From the very beginning, we introduced fashion program in our forums, because fashion, in our opinion, is a very clear reflection of what is happening in society, a tuning fork of time. Moreover, it helps to talk about important things with self-irony.
How does fashion help us to go beyond the known and destroy the dead, the obsolete?
In what historical periods do we pay special attention to traditional "national" clothing? And how should we use this legacy: to carefully protect and "preserve" – or allow it to develop freely, adapting to the needs of the new age?
Why did glamor and kitsch become so popular in 2010 – and how do they differ in the post-Soviet space and in other parts of the world?
We analysed these and other important and interesting things both thanks to the author's lectures of the fashion program curator and fashion historian Zoya Zvynyatskivska, and thanks to the ironic fashion show of the DonFIZcult collection by fashion designer Viktor Anisimov. By the way, Victor graduated from the Institute of Physical Culture, which trained teachers for the Armed Forces of the former USSR, so it was not just a show, but also a design reflection on various artistic observations.
We have kept the fashion program for the following forums (except GaliciaCult) and we hope to further continue this story.
